Dhaka: Seven people were killed and 25 others were injured in separate road accidents in Natore, Dinajpur and Manikganj districts on Thursday.

In Natore, Three people were killed when a damaged truck overturned on the road in Atrai bridge toll plaza area of Singra upazila in the early hours of Thursday.

The deceased are Shahin, Shuvo and Chhoton.

The Singra police said the accident took place when the damaged truck overturned on the road breaking a jack liver while it was being repaired in the area at about 12:30am, leaving Shahin dead on the spot and two others injured.

Injured Shuvo and Chhoton died on the way to Sadar Hospital.

In Dinajpur, Three people were killed and 25 others were injured as a bus hit a road side tree losing control over its wheel in Raniganj area of Ghoraghat upazila in the early morning.

The deceased are driver Sultan Ali and Abdus Salam.

Nuruzzaman Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Ghoraghat Police Station said the Dinajpur-bound Insaf Paribahanbus from Dhaka hit a roadside tree as it lost control over its wheel while giving side a truck in the area at about 4:30am, leaving two dead on the spot and 26 others injured.

The injured were taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital and another died on the way to hospital.

In Manikganj, a man was killed as a BRTC bus crushed into him while he was getting on it on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in bus stand area of the district town at about 9:00am.

The Manikganj Sadar police said the deceased is Abul Hossain, resident of Baghutia village of Daulatpur upazila.
