PM stresses understanding among 3 State organs
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday laid emphasis on maintaining understanding among the three organs of the State — judiciary, legislative and administrative— for running the country properly avoiding any confrontation.
‘It’s not possible to properly run the country if we engage in fight over who actually holds greater power,’ she said.
The Prime Minister said this while inaugurating the newly constructed residential complex (Judges’ Complex) for Supreme Court judges, reports UNB.
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha attended the function as a special guest while Law and Justice Minister Anisul Haq as a guest.
Public Works Secretary M Shahidullah Khandakar delivered the welcome address at the function held with Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain in the chair.
The 20-storey Judges Complex having 76 flats has been built on a 1.5-acre of land in the city’s Kakrail area.
In May 2011, the Prime Minister laid the foundation of the complex built at a cost of around Tk 174 crore.
