Depression moves North-Northwestwards

Dhaka: The depression over Southeast Bay and adjoining area moved North-Northeastwards, intensified into a deep depression over East-Central Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay (near lat 14.1on and long 89.9oe) on Saturday.
The depression was centered about 925 kms South-Southwest of Chittagong port, 850 kms South-Southwest of Cox's Bazar port, 950 kms South of Mongla port and 880 kms South of Payra port, said a press release of Met office.
It is likely to intensify further and move in a North-Northeasterly direction.
Maximum sustained wind speed within 48 kms of the depression centre is about 50 kph rising to 60 kph in gusts/squalls.
Sea will remain rough near the depression centre.
Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist distant cautionary signal no. one (r) one.
All fishing boat and trawlers over North Bay and deep sea have been advised not to venture into the deep sea.
