Narsingdi: Four people were killed and eight others injured in a head‐on collision between a microbus and a private car at Gangpar on the Dhaka‐Sylhet Highway in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on Sunday morning.

Shafiqul Islam, a sub‐inspector of Etakhola highway police station, said the accident took place around 8.00am when the Dhaka‐bound private car collided with the microbus coming from Bhairab, leaving a woman dead on the spot and eleven others injured.

The injured were taken to Bhairab upazila health complex, where three of the injured died. Later, four were shifted to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.

The deceased could not be identified yet.
