BGB, Yaba smugglers exchange fire on River Naf
Cox’s Bazar: Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and suspected Yaba traffickers exchanged fire on River Naf at Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Monday morning.
Teknaf BGB Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Jahid said the firing took place at about 7:30am on River Naf.
The BGB official said three Myanmar citizens were also held in injured condition during the firing. Around six lakh Yaba also recovered from the spot.
Earlier, in the morning, BGB members seized around four lakh Yaba pills were covered in a drive, said Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Jahid.
