Cyclonic storm crosses Myanmar coast

Dhaka: The cyclonic storm Maarutha formed over the east‐central bay off Myanmar coast moved slightly northeastwards further and crossed the coast near Sandoway early on Monday.
It is likely to move northeastwards further and weakened into a land deep depression by giving precipitation, said a Met Office bulletin.
Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to lower their signal number.
All the fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay and deep sea have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till this evening.
