Sheikh Hasina off to London
Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka for London on Friday morning on a six-day visit to the United Kingdom.
A VVIP flight (BG-001) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for the British capital at about 10:00am.
The flight is expected to reach Heathrow
International Airport at about 3.30pm (local time).
Cabinet members and civil and military high officials saw her off at the VVIP lounge of the airport.
The Prime Minister would be accorded a reception in London on 14 June on behalf of expatriate Bangladeshis for her outstanding achievements in different fields, including the implementation of the much-awaited Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with India.
Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to return home on the morning of 18 June.
