Khagrachhari: Members of Army in a drive have recovered two LG guns, one revolver and 14 bullets from Romrapara in Guimara upazila of Khagrachhari.

Tipped off that a gang of criminals were gathering in the area for realising extortion, the Army men, led by Guimara sub‐zone commander Lieutenant Abdur Rahman, conducted the drive on Thursday afternoon and recovered the arms and ammunition.

However, no one was arrested as the criminals managed to flee sensing the presence of the army members.

The recovered arms and ammunition were deposited to Guimara Police Station, said its officer‐in‐charge Jobairul Haque.
