Satkhira: A bus driver’s assistant was killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident on the Satkhira‐Kaliganj Road at Shakhipur Delta intersection in Debhata upazila of Satkhira on Friday morning.

Witnesses said the accident took place around 7:00am when the Satkhira‐bound bus from Kaliganj overturned after hitting a roadside tree, leaving its driver’s assistant Asgar Ali dead on the spot and 20 others injured.

The injured were taken to Debhata Upazila Health Complex, said Mamunur Rashid, officer‐in‐charge of Debhata Police Station.
