Thakurgaon: The throat‐slit body of a three‐year‐old boy, who was kidnapped on 26 April, was found at Munshigaon village in Ranishonkoil upazila of Thakurgaon on Friday.

Being informed by local people, police recovered the body of Abdul Fafi Tosha, son of Masud Rana of the village, from a pile of straw in the morning and sent it to local hospital morgue, said Rezaul Karim, officer‐in‐charge of Ranishonkoil Police Station.

Tosha was picked up by some miscreants near his house on Wednesday morning.

Later, the kidnappers demanded Tk 5lakh as ransom from victim’s father over mobile phone. Being failed to realise the ransom money, the kidnappers might have killed the boy and dumped there, said the OC.

Police also detained four people for interrogation.
