Kader Khan, also a retired army officer, was made prime accused in the case, he said.

Other accused are Sohel Rana, Mehedi Hasan, Shaheen, Shamsuzzoha, Abdul Hannan, Subal Chandra and Awami League former office secretary Chandur Kumar.

Police also submitted the firearms and other materials used in the killing of the MP, said Ashraf.

Former JaPa MP Dr Kader Khan made his confessional statement before a court under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) after his arrest. Kader Khan planned to kill MP Liton out of political vengeance.

The other seven accused gave their confessional statements in different times over the gruesome murder.
