Militants plant bombs in the houses: RAB
Jhenaidah: The suspected militants implanted bombs underneath of the houses which are cordoned off by the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at the village of Chuadanga in the Sadar upazila of Jhenaidah said RAB.
RAB Jhenaidah camp commander Major Monir Ahmed said being informed the law enforcers cordoned off the residences of militant Tuhin’s brother Selim and his cousin Prantor.
The RAB commander said a bomb disposal unit of RAB has started from Khulna to recover the explosives which are reportedly planted under the floor of the houses. The operation will begin after the bomb disposal team reached.
However, Major Monir couldnot say whether any militant are staying at the houses.
The RAB officials said the law enforcers put the two houses under surveillance after the death of two militants, Abdullah and Tuhin, who were killed in suicide blasts when law enforcers conducted an operation at a militant hideout in Moheshpur upazila of Jhenidah on 7 May.
