Benapole: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 41 Bangladeshis while entering the country through Gatipara border point here on Wednesday, after going to India illegally.

The arrestees are residents of different areas of Barisal and Jhalakati districts.

The Benapole Port police Apurba Hasan said, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area in the morning and arrested 11 women, three children and 27 men while they were trying to enter the Bangladesh territory during their return from India without valid documents.

Later, BGB troops handed them over to the police station.

A case was filed in this connection.
