Dhaka: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) on Wednesday ordered the Managing Director of Raintree Hotel to appear before it on 23 May.

CIID passed the order after lawyer Jahangir Kabir appointed by the Raintree Hotel authorities filed a petition seeking one month time this morning.

The MD Adnan Kabir was scheduled to appear before CIID but he could not as he fell sick this morning, said Jahangir.

Jahangir along with Apan Jewellers owners before the CIID office at Kakrail around 11:30am as CIID asked them to appear before it with their valid documents for interrogation.

The Raintree Hotel came into the limelight after an incident of rape of two private university girls there recently.
