Dhaka: Light to moderate rain and thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions, said a met office release on Thursday in Dhaka.

Day and night temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius over the country, it said.

Country’s maximum rainfall was recorded by 70 millimetres at Maijdi Court for the last 24-hour and minimum rainfall was recorded by one millimetre at Mymensingh, Faridpur, Sandwip, Sitakunda and Bhola.

Highest temperature was recorded by 34.3 degrees Celsius at Satkhira on Wednesday and minimum temperature was 24.7 degrees Celsius at Feni on Thursday, the press release added.
