The International Crimes Tribunal in Dhaka on Thursday issued a warrant for the arrest of former BNP lawmaker Abdul Momen Talukdar alias Khoka for his alleged involvement in crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War, reports UNB.

A two-member bench of ICT, led by Justice Shahinur Rahman, passed the order following petition filed by the prosecution.

Sultan Mahmud Shimon, a prosecutor, said prosecutors found Abdul Momen’s involvement in different crimes against humanity, including killing, torture, looting and arson in Adamdighi upazila during the Liberation War.
