Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Saturday placed four suspected homosexual men on a two-day police custody for interrogation each in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.

Those remanded are Sirajul Islam, Arafat Hossain, Shahadat Hossain, and Mehedi Hasan.

Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Fairuz Tasmim passed the order after sub-inspector of Keraniganj Model Police Station SM Mehedi Hasan produced 28 'homosexual' young men before the court seeking a 10-day police custody for interrogation for 16 of them.

Besides, the court ordered police to interrogate 12 others at jail gate.

The court also rejected the bail petitions of all and sent 12 others to jail.

A team of RAB-10 raided Chhayanir Community Centre in Keraniganj on Thursday midnight and arrested the suspected 28 homosexual youths along with drugs, condoms and lubricant.

Later, Habilder of the RAB-10 Abu Bakar Siddique filed the case with Keraniganj Model Police Station.
