Anti-govt leaflets recovered at Secretariat

Dhaka: A number of anti-government leaflets were recovered from the Secretariat in Dhaka on Sunday.
Sources at the Secretariat said the leaflets containing various anti-government slogans were thrown onto the ground from the LGRD ministry at Building 7 in the afternoon.
Later, security personnel recovered the leaflets and informed Detective Branch.
The plainclothes seized the anti-government leaflets and took in four employees of the LGRD ministry for their suspected involvement in circulating the leaflets.
The detainees are administrative officer Daulatunnesa, office secretary Zinnatul Karim and office assistants Mahfuzur Rahman and Shoaib Khan.
Contacted, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anisur Rahman, who is in-charge of the Secretariat’s security, said he knows nothing about the incident.
Meanwhile, DB deputy commissioner Masudur Rahman admitted the incident, saying the detectives picked up four employees of the Secretariat and they were being interrogated at DB headquarters.
