Dhaka: Armed Police Battalion (APBn-5) and BSTI on Sunday conducted a raid on Lavender Super Shop at Gulshan and fined Taka one lakh for selling and marketing products without BSTI approval and license.

Senior Assistant Police Superintendent (ASP) of APBn-5 Md Saidur Rahman Rubel and Executive Magistrate of Dhaka District Administration Tanjilla Kabir Tropa conducted the drive on Lavender Super Shop and found products without BSTI seal and approval. 

The team also fined Taka one lakh for selling and marketing products in the super shop without BSTI approval. 

ASP Rubel said, "Lavender Super Shop in Gulshan-2, was selling products without license of Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institute (BSTI)".

He said the APBn would continue its anti-adulteration drive in the metropolitan areas.
