At least six people were killed and 15 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Nayatila mazar in Mirsharai upazila of Chittagong on Monday.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be known, reports UNB.

Officer-in-charge of Jorarganj police station Jahidul Kabir said the Khagrachhari-bound bus from Dhaka fell into the 100 feet-deep ditch after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving five people dead and 15 others injured.

The injured were admitted to the upazila health complex, added the OC.
