3 bodies found hanging in Dhaka
Dhaka: Three hanging bodies were recovered by police in Rampura, Darussalam, and Adabar areas of the capital city, Dhaka on Wednesday night.
The deceased are, Taslima Akhter, in her twenties, a resident of Rampur, Jharna Akhter Jony, around 24 years old, from Darussalam, and Mehedi Hasan Shabuj, around 19 years, of Adabar.
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
The Rampur police Sub-inspector (SI) Mohamamd Dulal Ahammed said Taslima used to live at a rented house in the Bagichartek area of Rampura Wapda road with her husband. She hanged herself to death on Wednesday night, following a family dispute.
However, the SI said reason behind Taslima’s death will be informed after getting the autopsy report.
The Darussalam police duty officer Abu Bakar Siddique said Jharna Akhter Jony lived at a house in the Lalkuthi of Darussalam with her husband Al Amin Hossain. She committed suicide by hanging herself on Wednesday night following a family row.
On the other hand, the Adabar police Duty Officer Sub-inspector (SI) Shamim Shikder said Mehedi Hassan, worked in a private organisation, used to live in a rented house at Adabar with his family.
The family claimed Mehedi committed suicide by hanging himself. Mehedi’s family called police when they discovered his hanging body. Later, police went to the spot and recovered the body.
Details about Mehedi’s death could be known after getting the autopsy report, said SI Shamim.
