Dhaka: A case was filed against Bangladesh Television (BTV) Director General and two others for telecasting Maghrib Azan around 10 minutes before the scheduled time for Iftar.

A Dhaka Bar lawyer filed the case with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Abu Sayed’s court on Sunday. The judge will issue order after hearing the statement of the plaintiff.

The case was filed against BTV chairman, director general, and a news presenter.
