Khulna: A Khulna court on Monday sentenced a man to death for killing his father in Khulna city in 2010.

Dilruba Sultana, Judge of Khulna additional metropolitan session judges court, handed down the verdict after examining the witnesses and documents.

The convict is Badrul Hasan, 35, son of M Hasan Shahidullah of Haji Mohsin Road in Khulna city.

According to the persecution, When Badurl’s father Shahidullah refused to give him money for going abroad, Badrul beat his father with an iron road, leaving him dead on the spot on 24 April 2010.

Later, the family members handed over him to police.

The victim’s younger son Mehedi Hasan filed a case against Badrul with Sadar Police Station on the same day.
