Dhaka: Police recovered bodies of a woman and her three children from a resident in the Kaliartek area of Turag in Dhaka early on Friday.

The deceased are Rehena Parvin, in her thirties, and her daughters, Shanta, around 13years old, 9-year-old daughter Shefa, and 11-month old son Saad.

The Turag police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbube Khuda quoting Rehena’s husband Mostofa Kamal said Mostofa returned home at about 12:00am on Friday and found three of his children lying dead over a bed. Later, he discovered Rehena Begum’s hanging body in another room and called police.

Police recovered the bodies at about 1:00am and took them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where duty doctors declared them dead.

OC said the bodies were sent to morgue for autopsy.
