Thakurgaon: A Bangladeshi man was shot and taken away by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Rotnai border of Baliadangi upazila in Thakurgaon in the early hours of Thursday.

The deceased is Latiful Islam, in his twenties, a resident of the village of Dholai Bosti in the upazila of Baliadangi. He was admitted to a hospital in India.

Quoting local people Thakurgaon-30 BGB Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Khademul Bashar said the BSF members shot Latiful as he entered into Indian border illegally at about 4:00am.

Later, the BSF members admitted him to India’s Islampur Hospital. He said BGB also sent letter to BSF to sit for a flag meeting in this connection.
