Long tailback at Paturia ferry terminal

Manikganj: Home‐bound passengers of 21 South‐Western districts have been facing immense sufferings due to long traffic congestion at Paturia ferry terminal in Shivalaya upazila of Manikganj on Friday.
For the crisis of ferry, the passengers are being compelled to wait at the ferry terminal for two to three hours.
Hundreds of buses, trucks and other small vehicles were seen stuck in a long tailback at Paturia ferry terminal.
Zillur Rahman, assistant general manager (AGM) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) said that a total of 15 ferries have been operating. Besides, two more ferries—‘Motiur Rahman’ and ‘Barkat’—are being brought from Narayanganj dockyard.
