Missing in Padma: One body recovered, two still untraced

Keraniganj: The divers of Fire Service and Civil Defence on Wednesday recovered body of a college student, who had earlier gone missing with two others while swimming in the Padma River, at least two kilometers away from the spot.

The deceased are Mahim, in his twenties, a resident of Mohammadpur in Dhaka and year I student of United International University (UIU).

However, two others—Supreyo Dhali, around 19 years, resident of Mirpur-2 and year II student of Mirpur Commerce College, and Salman Bin Jamal, in his nineteens, from Barabagh area in Mirpur and year II student of Dhaka Monipuri College—are still remained missing.

Sub-inspector Arab Ali of Char Mohammadpur Police Outpost said that divers recovered the body around 9.00 am on Wednesday morning.

They are continuing rescue operation to find out the rest of the missing people.

At Moinot Ghat in Keraniganj, two college students and their university-going friend went missing while swimming in the River Padma around 5:00pm on Tuesday.
