Dhaka: There is no scope for BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to take part in the next general election in 2019, says Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu.

He made the statement on Saturday while participating in the general discussion in the Parliament on the proposed budget for 2015-2016 fiscal year.

Mentioning that the next election will be held in 2019, Inu said ‘There will be contest between democratic forces in that election. There is no chance for an obsolete force. There will be no chance for terror-patron Khaleda Zia to take part in that election.’ he added.

The information minister also said that Khaleda Zia will have to stand trial for burning people to death in the name of political programme.
