Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Thursday fixed 31 July for the charge framing hearing of nine different cases against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Mohammad Quamrul Hossain Mollah fixed the date following a petition filed by Khaleda Zia’s lawyer.

Of the nine cases, seven were filed with Darus Salam Police Station while two others with Jatrabari Police Station for sabotage activities.

Khaleda’s counsel Md Sanaullah Miah in the petition sought adjournment of the hearing saying that his client Khaleda Zia could not appear before the court as she has to appear before another court in connection with Zia Charitable Trust graft case.

At 10:30am on Thursday, Khaleda Zia appeared before a special court in the capital in connection with Zia Charitable Trust graft case.
