Dhaka: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday greeted Dr Muhammad Yunus on his 76th birthday.

On behalf of the BNP chief, her adviser Sabihuddin Ahmed presented a bouquet to the Nobel Laureate micro-credit pioneer at Yunus Centre at noon, Khaleda’s press wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan said.

Dr Yunus thanked Khaleda Zia for greeting him on his birthday.

Born at Bathua village of Hathazari, Chittagong on 28 June 1940, Dr Yunus, along with Grameen Bank, was awarded the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize.
