Dhaka: Miscreants slit throat of an expatriate at Kodomtali in Rayerbagh area, Dhaka, in the early hours of Monday.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police post in-charge Mozammel Haque said the deceased is Mohammad Jafar Khalifa, in his forties.

Mozammel Haque quoting Nurjahan, wife of the deceased, said she found Jafar’s body lying on the floor of their Mirajnagar residence at about 5:00am. Later, she took Jafar to DMCH where doctors declared him dead.

The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately, added police.
