Khaleda sits with BNP senior leaders tonight
Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia will sit with senior leaders of her party on Monday night to talk about the country’s latest political situation and party’s next course of action after Eid-ul-Fitr.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00pm at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office, her media wing said.
This will be Khaleda’s the first formal meeting with her party’s senior leaders since she returned home on 5 April after nearly a three months of her stay in her Gulshan office.
A senior BNP leader, whishing anonymity, said their chairperson is going to hold the meeting to discuss the country’s overall situation, party activities and its next course of action, reports UNB.
He said Khaleda will also give the leaders necessary directions to carry out the organisational activities in her absence as she is going to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to perform Umrah.
She will meet her eldest son and party senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife and daughter there.
Party sources said Khaleda and Tarique during their stay in Saudi is likely to discuss crucial issues like party overhaul, strategy, party's council and some other organisational issues, reports UNB.
