Dhaka: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested five alleged human traffickers, including three women, and rescued nine women from Uttara area in the capital city on Monday night.

Identities of the arrestees and rescuers could not be known immediately.

RAB 2 headquarters’ officials said a team of RAB conducted a drive in the area and arrested five members, including three women, of an international human traffickers’ gang at night.

They also rescued nine women from the spot.
