Comilla: Two people were killed in a road accident on Comilla-Chandpur road in Sadar South upazila of Comilla on Tuesday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Lalmai police sub-inspector Lutfar Rahman said the accident took place when a Noakhali-bound bus collided head-on with a pickup carrying medicine at Chanpurat about 3:00pm, leaving eight passengers of the two vehicles injured.

Of the injured, two died on the way to hospital.

The rest injured were taken to Comilla Medical College Hospital.
