Tangail: Two people were killed in a road crash at Koratipara in Tangail Sadar upazila in the early hours of Wednesday.

The deceased is Anwar Hossain, in his fifties, a businessman, also a resident of Munshiganj district, and Mamun Islam, in his twenties, a truck driver,resident of Sirajganj district.

The Highway police said a cement-laden truck from the northern region hit another truck loaded with iron rods in the area at about 4:30am, leaving the driver of the cement-laden truck Mamun and businessman Anwar, sitting beside him, dead on the spot.
