Dhaka: Employers will be asked to pay wages and festival bonuses before Eid and send workers to holidays from 14 July, said the State Minister for Home Affairs, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, on Wednesday.

Following a meeting at the ministry on law and orders situation during Eid, the state minister said law enforcers had taken necessary measures to ensure safety of home-goers.

A committee headed by labour ministry additional secretary was formed to ensure and supervise wage payments and granting leaves.
