Kushtia: ‘Trial of Khaleda Zia and others who were involved in the killing of innocent people, earlier in the year, will commence soon after the Eid holidays,’ Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said on Saturday.

‘If she can prove her innocence there she will continue to be in politics, otherwise, she has to say good-bye,’ he said a gathering in Kushtia.

Earlier responding BNP Vice-Chairman Shah Moazzem Hossain who said that Sheikh Hasina would have to follow the path of Syed Ashraf, Inu said that Ashraf did not resign because of people’s pressure. ‘Change in the cabinet or reshuffling was very much within the purview of the prime minister,’ he said. ‘One should not read too much into it,’ he added.

The minister inaugurated the newly constructed building of Mirzanagar Upazila Government Primary School.
