Dhaka: State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique on Sunday inaugurated e-file programme in the administration terming it as a milestone for realizing digital Bangladesh campaign.

The state minister inaugurated the programme by approving an e-file sending from the senior secretary of the ministry at secretariat here, an official handout said.

Ismat said the e-file programme advanced the digital Bangladesh campaign one step ahead.

‘The initiative will help in providing services to citizens in shortest possible time as well as in ensuring transparency and accountability in the administration,’ she said.

So far, 2100 officials from different ministries, departments and directorates have received training on e-file software.

Senior Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury also spoke on the occasion.
