Jessore: A young man was killed in a bomb attack following dispute with his elder brother at Kholadanga in Shahartali area of Jessore on Monday night.

The deceased is Imran Kabir Ujjal, 35, resident of Kholadanga of Colonypara.

Liza Begum, wife of the deceased, said Imran had an altercation with his elder brother Enamul Kabir Babu over a trifling matter on Monday evening.

Hired goons of Enamul swooped on Imran and his associates while they were chatting near the rail track and blasted around 7 crude bombs and fired several rounds of bullets, leaving Imran and his associate Omar Ali injured.

Later they were rushed to local hospital where doctors declared Imran dead.

The Kotwali police said they rescued the victims and took them to a local hospital.
