3 suspected Jamaat men held in Savar

Savar: Police arrested three suspected leaders and members of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami from Savar municipality area in a drive conducted from 2:00am to 5:00am on Thursday.

The arrestees are Mawlana Hossain Uddin, 42, principal of Jabal-E-Noor Cadet Madrassah at Dagarmora, vice-principal Harun-Ar-Rashid, 38, and Fazlul Haque, 38, works at J K Garments.

Madrasah authorities and police said principal and vice principle were arrested by police from the eighth floor of Jabal-E-Noor Cadet Madrasah main campus. Police also held Fazlul Haque from Shabujbagh near Trust Mosque at Savar Bazar road.

Savar Police sub-inspector Mostafizur Rahman said the detained will be sent to the court for seeking seven days for police custody.
