Dhaka: Customs officials arrested a man along with 932 grams gold worth Tk 45 lakh at Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday.

The arrestee was identified as Umar Faruqe of Feni district.

Dhaka Customs House Joint Commissioner Sohel Rahman said Faruqe arrived here from Saudi Arabia by a flight of Saudi Airlines SV 808 at about 12:30pm.

Tipped off, the customs officials challenged Farque while crossing the green channel and seized the gold from a tin of milk powder he was carrying, he said.
