Dhaka: It is not a compulsory matter to have a caretaker government, the BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia said on Saturday.

Rather, she demanded election under a non-partisan government.

Khaleda complained that the government amended the constitution to remain in power permanently.

Khaleda made the remarks at a meeting with Brahmanbaria lawyers in her office at Gulshan in Dhaka.
