No poll under Sheikh Hasina: Khaleda Zia
Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia has said that her party would never join any election under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s administration.
Addressing an exchange of views in her Gulshan office in Dhaka on Saturday night, the leader said the decision of boycotting 5-January-elections of the BNP-led alliance was correct.
She exchanged views with the newly elected members of Rajshahi District Lawyers’ Association.
Khaleda Zia said sycophants were leading Awami League to destruction. She pledged to introduce a new form of politics if she got into the power.
She complained that a few media misled people by wrongly interpreting her speeches on election issue.
The BNP chairperson warned the people reportedly conspiring against the party.
She also told the lawyers that from now on BNP central committee would not form any district committee, rather the leaders and activists would form their own committees.
