Dhaka: Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha administered the oath to additional judges Justice Shahinur Islam and Justice Kashefa Hossain as permanent judges of the High Court at about 10:35am on Wednesday morning.
78 Judges of the High Court and Appellate Division were present during the swearing-in programme.

Supreme Court’s registrar Syed Aminul Islam conducted the programme.

On 5 August 2013, Justice Shahinur Islam and Justice Kashefa Hossain took oath as additional justices. According to the rules of Supreme Court the judges were appointed as permanent judges after two years of their joining.

Earlier, on 3 August, Supreme Court issued a notification for appointing the permanent judges.
