Munshiganj: A bus carrying around 50 passengers plunged into a road side ditch on Dhaka-Mawa Highway at Srinagar upazila in Munshiganj on Friday afternoon.

The Hachara Highway said a Dohar-bound skidded off the road and fell into the roadside ditch in the upazila’s Shologhar area around 1:00pm as its driver lost control over the steering.

Local people recovered 15 passengers from ditch and took them to Shologhar Health Complex. 

The Srinagar police said fire fighters are conducting rescue operation and are trying to salvage the sunken bus.
