DMCH test finds 14 injuries on Niloy’s body
Dhaka: Doctors at the Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in a test found fourteen marks of injuries by sharp weapons, including eight serious ones, on different parts of the body of slain blogger Niladri Chaterjee alias Niloy.
Talking to reporters at the DMCH after post-mortem over Niloy’s body, Professor Habibuzzaman Chowdhury, head of the DMCH forensic department, said Niloy was hit by sharp weapons and the body bore 14 marks of injuries.
Miscreants hit him with sharp weapons repeatedly to confirm his death, Professor Habibuzzaman added.
The body of blogger Niladri was handed over to his family members after the post-mortem on Saturday.
Victim’s uncle Bimol Chaterjee received the body from the hospital morgue at about 12:30 pm. It was then taken to Niloy’s Pirojpur village home.
Niloy was the only son of Tarapad Chaterjee and Aurpona Chaterjee.
Niloy was hacked to death by a group of assailants on Friday afternoon at his residence on the 4th floor of a multi-storey building at Goran in the capital.
Ashamoni, wife of Niladri Chaterjee alias Niloy, filed a case against four unidentified people with Khilgaon Police Station on Friday night.
