4 minors hurt in crude bomb blast

Jessore: Four minors were injured in crude bombs blast at Abhaynagar upazila in Jessore on Sunday morning.
The victims are Munna, who is 11 years old, Ashik, believed to be 5, Fatema, around 8 years old, and Anik, aged around 8.
Police quoting local people said several children were picking palm near Amir Sardar’s pond in Shardarpara area of Noapara at about 8:15am.
During the time, they noticed a plastic bag on the ground. Three crude bombs exploded in sequence as soon as the children opened the bag, leaving the kids injured.
Among the children, Anik was severely injured. The crude bombs blew off his wrist from hand.
The injured were taken to Abhaynagar Health Complex and later shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
The Abhaynagar police said police recovered a bomb which did not blast.
