Charge framing hearing against Fakhrul, 24 others on 3 Nov
Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Tuesday fixed 3 November for hearing on charge framing against 25 BNP leaders including its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, in a case filed for obstructing police from discharging their duties.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate SM Masud Zaman fixed the date when Sanaullah Miah, counsel of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, sought time.
According to the prosecution, on 12 December 2012, some 30-40 BNP-Jammat men obstructed police from discharging their duties and showering brick-bats towards the pedestrians, leaving them injured.
Following this, Kolabagan Police sub-inspector M Masud Shikdar filed a case against the BNP leaders.
On 20 October, 2014, another Kolabagan Police sub-inspector submitted charge sheet against 25 BNP leaders including Mirza Fakhrul.
