Court rejects bail plea for Amanullah
Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) joint secretary general Amanullah Aman was denied bail by court in 44 violence cases filed against him.
Aman’s counsels, Sanaullah Mia and Syed Jainul Abedin Mezba, on Wednesday morning filed bail petition to Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Kamrul Hossain Molla’s court.
Amanullah is accused in nine cases with Mohammadpur police, 11 cases with Darussalam, three cases with Mugda in Motijheel, and Jatrabari, five cases with Paltan, four with Wari, cases with Airport, Kafrul, Shah Ali, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, and Khilgaon.
Earlier, on 2 August, several magistrate courts rejected his appeal pleas filed in 56 cases and ordered to send him back to jail.
