Madaripur: A court in Madaripur on Saturday placed three accused on police custody for 7 days each in the case filed over killing of two schoolgirls at Terobhaddi village of Sadar upazila in Madaripur on Thursday.

Officials at Sadar Hospital said four unidentified young men had brought the two girls of Mustafapur High School to the hospital in a critical condition on Thursday afternoon, saying that the duo took poison to commit suicide.
Locals and hospital authorities caught two young men from the hospital on suspicion as they had been there to enquire about the condition of the victims.
Later, they were handed over to police.
The girls, hailing from Mustafapur village, succumbed to their injuries at about 5:00pm.
Later, father of one of the victims filed a case against seven people on Friday noon in this connection.
